Twenty years ago I decided to try permanent makeup. I swim, kayak, bike and just generally do sweaty things and I need makeup to look good, but I never want to look “made-up”.


Enhancements was recommended to me so I went. I have been going back ever since for semi-permanent make up touch ups. I can’t begin to count the compliments I have received about how good the makeup makes me look. My friends are all totally envious of my lovely eyebrows and eyeliner. The look is natural but enhances my eyes and face. I’ve seen permanent make-up on others but never any as good as the job Donna does for me.
In 2020, I went for my annual touch-up after businesses were allowed to reopen with (covid) restrictions. I was not surprised at how many safety measures Donna had in place for her clients so, of course, I was completely comfortable going to my appointment. As I said, totally professional.

I have lost most of my eyebrow hairs. Im left bald where they used to be which leaves me with no expression which looks really odd.  I was always so apprehensive to get semi permanent eyebrows. Its so frustrating and time consuming making sure I draw them on evenly, which is difficult every morning and constantly worrying about if they are still on due to weather or if I accidentally rubbed them off, which I have done a few times. I have seen pictures of myself after  drawing them on and most times one of them is higher than the other, or missing the end from rubbing my face during the day.

I started with Donna having my eyeliner applied (micro pigmentation), which has really shortened my daily make up routine and looks very natural.  Donna encouraged me to have my eyebrows done as well.  I was very reluctant to do this, as I am blonde with fair skin and thought that it would look too dark and not natural.  After a few years of encouragement from Donna, I finally agreed.  I couldn’t be happier with the outcome.  They look very natural and I feel they make me look younger.  Because Donna is also a make up artist, her application of the color and shape for eyebrows is far superior to anything that I could achieve on my own, using eyebrow products.  So natural looking in fact, that my husband didn’t even notice that I had done anything to them.  Although, in truth, they looked much better as they were starting to fade and disappear with age.  I have had many positive comments from my girlfriends!

I first came to Enhancements by Donna, May of last year for a facial at the end of the pandemic. As a community pharmacist, I had been wearing a mask at work for 2&1/2 years which was a new experience for me and also for my skin.
 
I am a woman in my late 50's and I have always had issues with oily skin, acne breakouts and because I am a fair, blue eyed blonde lets toss in a bit of rosacea in for good measure.  My skin was in the worst shape of my life when I arrived for my appointment. Donna had her work cut out for her!
What Donna performs is not a facial, but an individualized treatment based on the requirements of my skin. My monthly facials with her are different every time and are an amazing experience. Due to the skin products and vitamin regimen she has me on, I no longer have acne issues and my rosacea is under control.
Donna suggested permanent makeup for me as well. I had never considered having this done as I had seen other blonde women with this done and the results looked harsh and unnatural. I trust Donna and decided to have it done. It looks amazing!! I have natural looking eyebrows and eyeliner and I no longer have to wear makeup if I so choose. I wakeup and feel AWESOME and it gives me the confidence to age gracefully. Yearly maintenance is all that is necessary. Donna now also has a specialized local anesthetic for this procedure that works far better than commercial products, thus my touch up this year was much more comfortable.
 
Donna offers microneedling as well. I have had 3 treatments and I have seen a vast improvement in my facial skin and décolleté. What I notice the most is that I no longer have dark " bags" under my eyes that I have to cover up... WOW!
